Our roots extend back to Toronto’s entertainment and nightlife scene of the early 1990s.

Long before the Balance Promotions Inc. was formally incorporated, its founders were actively involved in producing and promoting events, booking artists and DJs, and working within Toronto’s growing music and entertainment community.

Through the 1990s and 2000s, that involvement expanded across numerous genres and event formats. Over the years, hundreds of DJs and artists were booked across house, techno, drum and bass, hip-hop, rock, electronic music, and other genres, building relationships and experience throughout Toronto’s entertainment industry.

The Balance business was established in 2011 and formally incorporated as Balance Promotions Inc. in 2013, bringing that experience together under the Balance name.

A significant chapter in that history was Digital Dreams Music Festival at Ontario Place. From 2012 through 2014, Balance was involved in the production of the festival as it grew into one of Canada’s major electronic music events, bringing internationally recognized artists and tens of thousands of attendees to Toronto’s waterfront.

In the years that followed, Balance continued its involvement in Toronto’s entertainment community while expanding its reach beyond the city and internationally.

What began through involvement in Toronto’s entertainment scene more than three decades ago ultimately developed into the company that Balance Promotions Inc. is today.
